Joe

PASTOR

Pastor William (Joe) Joseph Moran Jr. has been in ministry in Southern Baptist churches since the 1980s, faithfully serving congregations and people for the glory of God in Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, Virginia, and New York, as well as in the military where he serves as a chaplain for the United States Army Reserves. He received his Master's of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Having grown up in Ohio in a minister's home, Pastor Joe now considers New York his home.

Pastor Joe and his wife, Dierdra, have four children and eight grandchildren.

John

YOUTH PASTOR

John currently serves Indian River Baptist Church as the youth pastor, a position he has held since 2017. John received his education at Carson-Newman University, a Southern Baptist college in Jefferson City, TN. Having grown up in Pastor Joe's house, John believes nothing is more important to youth ministry than being faithful to Scripture and being authentic in his interactions with young people.

John and his wife, Sarah, have three children.

Fred

HEAD DEACON

After a long-term career in the United States Army, Fred Abare found God calling him to serve in his local church. After beginning his time at Indian River Baptist Church in a Bible Study on the book of Revelation, Fred knew God was calling him to a life of service to IRBC. Fred believes his greatest calling is being a "First Sergeant to his Commander (Pastor Joe)." Fred and his wife, Irma, feel a calling to help people of the Philippines.

Abby, Betty, and Pat

WORSHIP TEAM

Abby, Betty, and Pat are a reflection of our church body. All three are different, yet understand the importance of leading our congregation in genuine worship of God. Our worship team believes in taking the focus away from themselves and pointing all praise to God. Understanding that God has given them musical gifts, they seek to utilize those gifts for His glory.

Abby (22) studied Music at Nazareth College; Betty (78) has been playing piano for church for 62 years; and Pat (59) has been playing to worship God for the last 20 years.
